Russia's federal anti-monopoly service (FAS) has suggested that the domestic gas market could eventually be brought into line with EU rules. "Russia should adequately match the European gas market model," FAS deputy director Anatoly Golomolzin told a round table at the Moscow International Energy Forum on 6 April. The EU plans to introduce its fourth package of energy reforms by 2014, in a bid to create a single gas market in which spot trading has a bigger role.
