Naftogaz welcomes trilateral talks offer

Ukraine’s Naftogaz has welcomed an offer from the European Commission to broker talks with Russia on gas supplies for winter 2016-17. “We are grateful to the commission for the proposed help in conducting the trilateral negotiations,” chief executive Andriy Kobolev says - the commission said on 19 July that it is prepared to facilitate talks. Direct talks between Russia and Ukraine have been unsuccessful.
