State-controlled Rosneft has purchased the Russian state's 50.08pc stake in 425,000 b/d producer Bashneft for 330bn roubles ($5.21bn). Rosneft closed the acquisition of the controlling share of Bashneft on 12 October, and said it expects hydrocarbon production to increase by 10pc and refining throughputs to rise by 20pc.
