Mitsui PureCycle Sign HoA to Develop Polypropylene Recycling Unit in Japan

Tokyo- Mitsui & Co. and PureCycle Technologies have entered into a heads of agreement (HoA) to develop and operate a (PP) recycling facility in Japan (PCN, 20 Sept 2021, p 2). The planned 59,000-t/y plant will use PureCycle's patented technology to transform PP waste into ultra-pure recycled PP. Completion is anticipated in 2026.
