Investment levels steady

Gazprom’s 2016 investment plans are broadly in line with last year’s initial plans, although the figure for capital expenditure (capex) is slightly higher. This year’s total planned investment is Rbs842bn ($11bn), under a plan the board approved on 28 December. Gazprom plans to increase capex by 6pc to Rbs777.28bn, with Rbs10.3bn earmarked for acquisitions. No reason is given for the planned hike.
