Independents drive gas output

Gazprom gas output fell by more than 5pc last year, although independent producers helped to ensure that overall Russian output was almost unchanged on 2014. Total production reached 648.4bn m~3 during 2015, down by 0.6pc on 2014, according to figures released by the central dispatching department of the fuel energy complex (CDU TEK). Gazprom’s production was down by 5.5pc, at 408.6bn m~3.
