Hungary exploration planned

Canadian oil and gas producers Vermilion Energy and Bankers Petroleum are planning to start explora- tion in Hungary, despite cutting overall investment because of lower oil prices. Bankers is to spend $3mn on 200km2 of 3D seismic at northeast Hungary’s Puspokladany block in late 2016, drilling three wells by 2019 and investing ?12.3mn ($13mn) over a three and a half year contract period. Its joint venture with Hungary’s TDE Services won the concession in November.
