Maintenance hits eastbound exports

Long-haul fuel oil shipments from Europe and the Mediterranean region were down by 13.5pc from March at 65,000 t/d in April, reflecting lower cracked fuel oil deliveries to Asia- Pacific as Russian refinery maintenance tightened supply. Eastbound shipments fell by 40.9pc to 35,700 t/d. Three very large crude carriers (VLCCs) loaded at Rotterdam, down from five in March, and exports from the Baltic to northwest Europe fell by around 1mn t to 2.63mn t because of Russian refinery maintenance.
