Ukraine’s state-run products pipeline operator Ukrtransnefteprodukt has taken formal control of the 52,000 b/d Odessa refinery. Ukrtransnefteprodukt will carry out a technical audit of the plant, which has been out of action for two years. Odessa could be back on stream in April-May, industry sources say, and receive crude by pipeline from a terminal owned by state-run pipeline operator Ukrtransnafta at the port of Odessa. The refinery is designed to run Urals, and Ukrtransnefteprodukt intends to supply it with Urals and grades with similar specifications.
