Kazakh state-controlled Kazmunaigaz (KMG) is to dissolve two subsidiaries and take direct control of their assets and operations - downstream arm KMG Refn- ing and Marketing (KMG R&M) and gas pipeline operator Kaztransgaz (KTG). The dissolution of KMG R&M will be completed by late this year, KMG presi- dent Sauat Mynbayev says. The main purpose of the corporate restructuring is to reduce the number of management levels, KMG says. KMG R&M retail arm KMG Onimderi and Kazakhstan’s three refneries - in which KMG R&M has stakes - are expected to remain as separate subsidiaries within KMG.
