Pan American World Airways' iconic blue globe has made its first appearance on an aircraft in the UK since the US airline's collapse in December 1991. Piper PA-28-180 Cherokee, G-PAWA, has been repainted in the carrier's instantly recognisable livery by Sturgate-based Eastern Air Executive. As Aviation News went to press, it was understood that the Lanpro Flying Group-operated 'Clipper Cherokee' is set to be based at Old Warden, Bedfordshire, once it returns to the air following engine work.
