Kirishi fire cuts diesel output

Surgutneftegaz’s 350,000 b/d Kirishi refinery is expected to produce and export less 10ppm diesel,following a recent fire at its hydrocracker.But straight-run fuel oil exports are likely to rise while the unit undergoes repair. Production of 10ppm diesel could fall by 100,000-130,000 t/month,to around 400,000 t/month.The refinery is expected to continue shipping the product by pipeline to Primorsk but may halt rail supplies to St Petersburg, Kirishi supplied up to 200,000 t/ month of 10ppm diesel to Primorsk in January-May.And it also supplied around 117,000 t/month by rail to St Petersburg,as well as shipping some through Vysotsk.
