Rosneft said on Friday that its production continues to increase and that it would be willing to pick up the unused portions of other Russian companies’Opec-plus oil production quotas,if the government were to approve such an arrangement. The hypothetical offer comes amid signs that Russia's overall crude oil output is starting to fall short of the country's Opec-plus ceiling.Rosneft reported on Friday that its annual oil and gas production amounted to 4.985 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2021,which was down 3.9% versus 2020.Reported oil production for the year fell 5.7% to 3.9 million barrels per day. However, the company said the lower reported production volumes refl ected the divestment of ineffi cient assets, adding that numbers adjusted to eliminate the effect of such divestments, showed an increase in combined oil and gas output of 4.9%.During a presentation to analysts on Friday,Vice President Eric Liron said Rosneft's January production was up 1% versus December and that volumes would continue to grow throughout the year in line with the reversal of Opec-plus production cuts.
