Wholesale gas prices have risen phenomenally over the last six months as a perfect storm of political, infrastructure and weather conditions have affected production, distribution and storage in key markets around the world. While the UK has been particularly hard hit due to relatively low storage capacity, high energy prices are not confined to the UK or even just Western Europe.
