摘要

There are various methods for evaluating brazeability. One is to evaluate the properties of the brazing material and the other is to evaluate the properties of the brazing body. Brazing Filler Metal properties are evaluated by spreading test, crevice filling test, and fillet forming ability. However, it is said that it is difficult to evaluate the properties of brazing filler metal because the same tendency may not be obtained by the spreading test method and the crevice filling test method. Therefore, this laboratory has been studying a new method of evaluating brazing filler metal characteristics. In general wetting and spreading tests, brazing filler metal is placed on a thin metal plate, heated and melted, and evaluated by measuring the area and contact angle after wetting and spreading. In this study, we focused on the limitations of this method and devised and proposed a new brazeability (wettability) evaluation method. Specifically, the method is based on the three-dimensionally accurate measurement of the outside shape of the wetting spread.
