German firms query Gazprom reserves judgment

Russia’s state-controlled Gazprom and its German partnersat west Siberia’s Yuzhno-Russkoye field, Wintershall and Eon,cannot agree on reserve figures that will be used to determinepossible bonus payments by the German companies.Gazprom says they should payover ?1bn ($1.35bn) because ABC1(proven and probable) reserves underRussian standards have risen to over1 trillion m3 from 825bn m3 in 2007. ButWintershall says Yuzhno-Russkoye stillholds just 600bn m3 of recoverablereserves, broadly in line with 2007,when it came on stream.
