Evonik has released TEGO~R Powder Aid D01,a multifunctional polymeric additive for powder coatings.The company says that,when the product is added to powder coating formulations,it reduces melt viscosity,thus leading to an improved degassing effect.TEGO~R Powder Aid D01 is designed to improve pigment wetting and provide better dispersion during extrusion.According to Evonik,it also contributes to an increase in gloss and DOI.The company says that this additive does not contain surface-active waxes,and as a result,formulators are unlikely to encounter problems with overcoating.
