On the Fauna and Taxonomy of Click-Beetles (Coleoptera, Elateridae) of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve and Adjacent Areas

Abstract The fauna of the click-beetles of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve and adjacent areas is listed and analyzed. The current checklist of the Elateridae of this territory comprises 77 species of 36 genera, 11 tribes, and 5 subfamilies. Several species are recorded for the first time in the following territories: 54 species in the fauna of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve and adjacent areas, 7 species in Primorskii Territory, 5 in the mainland Far East of Russia. Two speceis are recorded by us in the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve and adjacent areas only from published data without examination of the material; the doubtful records of 4 species require confirmation and are not included in the checklist. Notes on the distribution and taxonomy and new data on the morphology, including the genital characters, of a number of the species are also given. The following new synonymy is established: Cardiophorus inflatus Candèze, 1882 = Cardiophorus heydeni Buysson, 1915, syn. n. The following new combination is proposed: Pseudocrepidophorus laetus (Candèze, 1879), comb. n. (ex Crepidophorus).
