Russian crude quality improves

The density and sulphur content of Russian crude exports fell along almost all routes except to Primorsk in the fourth quarter, Argus monitoring reveals, reflecting a change in flows through the Transneft pipeline system. The Purpe-Samotlor line was launched at the end of October, with Transneft reducing west Siberian crude supplies along the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) export route. At the same time, Transneft reduced supplies of crude from the Vankor field-which has a relatively high density of 29.1-30.4°API-along western routes.
