Trilateral talks to resume

The Ukrainian government is continuing to push for the application of“market conditions”in its dispute with Gazprom over gas prices and debts ahead of trilat-eral discussions with officials from the EU and the Russian company scheduled to be held in Berlin on 26 September. EU energy commissioner Gunther Oettinger has again called for an interim agreement on prices and volumes for the winter heating season in an attempt to reduce the risk of any interruption in tran-sit shipments through Ukraine to Europe.
