Chinese private sector petrochemical frm Shenghong has be-gun ofering anode-grade petroleum coke from its new 320,000 b/d Lianyungang refnery, which is now running at around 60pc of capacity. The facility, located in the northeast of Jiangsu province, on China’s east coast just south of Shandong province, has begun producing petroleum coke with roughly 5pc sulphur and 200-300ppm vanadium, according to a trader, after starting up a delayed coking unit with 2mn t/yr of throughput capacity earlier this month.
