Hydro Currents

Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., introduced legislation that would expand incentives to hydro project developers, including a long-term extension of the renewables production tax credit and Clean Renewable Energy Bond (CREB) program. Under current law, a facility qualified to apply for production tax credits must begin service by Dec. 31, 2008. Cantwell's bill would extend that five years to 2013.
