摘要

Independent Talos Energy has made two new commercial discoveries near its 100-owned Ram Powell production facility in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, where it expects to ramp up production to levels last seen 15 years ago. The Lime Rock and Venice discoveries in the Viosca Knoll area are not large, holding roughly 20 million-30 million barrels of oil equivalent in total, according to Talos. But they will boost dwindling production from the decades-old Ram Powell platform, furthering a trend among Gulf producers of utilizing existing infrastructure and capacity at declining production hubs. Talos owns 60 of Lime Rock and Venice. Privately held Walter Oil Gas owns the other 40, sources say. Neither Talos nor Walter responded to requests for conormation by press time Wednesday.
