A leak in a safety relief line in a catalytic light ends unit resulted in increased faring on 26 September at ExxonMobil’s 584,000 b/d refnery in Baytown, Texas. The leak was re- ported at 3:30am ET and the faring ended 2 1/2 hours later, according to a fling with state environmental quality moni- tors. ExxonMobil said there were minimal efects on produc- tion, and it expected to meet its contractual commitments.
