Traders are slowly returning to their desks but the overall undertone is firm in the Brazilian market on the back of some firm import enquiries for the safrinha corn ploughing season. Russian MAP business has been concluded above the $500/t cfr mark on a spate of buying in late December 2014 while Mosaic sold 5,000t of MAP at $500/t cfr. Offers are now at $520-525/t cfr.
