Canada’s Baytex to accelerate development of Clearwater, Duvernay oil plays

Calgary-based Baytex Energy said Nov. 5 it plans to accelerate the development of its Clearwater and Duvernay light crude plays, where combined output could reach 45,000 b/d. Baytex’s overall oil and gas production dipped somewhat in Q3 from Q2, down to 79,872 boe/d from 81,162 boe/d, the company said on its earnings call.
