Traders to look for non-China markets as Chinese enjoy one-week holiday China

Some traders liquidated positions ahead of China’s one-week national day holiday – which began on 1 October - fearing further falls in sulphur prices when the market reopens on 8 October. A trader sold 40,000t of Iranian granular sulphur to a Chinese phosphate producer at about $155-156/t cfr. The cargo is scheduled to arrive in Fangcheng port at the end of October.
