Market prices for granular MOP have risen to around ?310/t cif inland, up ?5-10/t as buyers have been forced to ac- cept higher prices. Seaport market prices are estimated at around ?300/t fob/fca with cif prices some ?5-7 lower. ICL and SQM are more bullish at around ?315/t fca port but little or nothing has been sold. ?385/t cfr is no longer available so we have adjusted our assessment to ?290-300/t cfr N W Europe. At today’s exchange rate, however, this is still only equivalent to $318-328/t, very low compared to elsewhere in the world.
