Freight rates for Pacific dry bulk Panamax vessels could fall on weaker Chinese coal demand resulting from a lack of workers, prospects of lower industrial output, and high coal inventories. In the southeast Asia region, the cost to move a shipment from Indonesia to south China fell by 20￠/t from the previous day to $6.10/t on 14 February.
