Australia’s FYI, Alcoa start alumina trial

Perth-based FYI Resources and Alcoa Australia have started trialling high-purity alumina (HPA) production at a pilot plant at Welshpool in Western Australia (WA). The plant will operate continuously for seven days to validate the end-to-end efciency of FYI’s proprietary HPA refning process, FYI said.
