NEW ORLEANS – Convenience stores and gas stations see a highnumber of electric-vehicle charging transactions for the number ofports they have available, according to data released in early May bycredit card firm Capital One at the annual conference of the Society ofIndependent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA).Capital One said 12 of EV charging transactions occurred atc-stores and gas stations, even though those sites only account for2 of ports available in the U.S. These sites represent 52 of the EVcharging transactions that take place in rural areas.
