Agrifos and Borealis to build ammonia plant on Gulf Coast

Agrifos and Borealis plan to build a brownfeld ammonia plant at an existing chemical complex on the Texas Gulf coast with production expected to begin in 2019. The project, named Gulf Coast Ammonia, will utilize hydro- gen and nitrogen feedstock. The companies are in negotia- tions with a select group of site owners and expect to settle on a fnal location on the Texas Gulf Coast within a few months.
