Anglo American has awarded its import tender for 38,000t ex-US Gulf in the mid-$160s/t cfr Santos for May delivery to Oxbow, according to trading sources. However, this could not be verifed with the importer, which declined to com- ment on the business. Brazil received 146,696t of sulphur in the second month of the year according to latest GTIS numbers. This is up 18pc compared to February 2014. This month, the majority of the deliveries were sourced from the US, which supplied 77,000t, a rise of 9pc year on year. Second was Kazakhstan, with 69,000t, up over 150pc on February 2014.
