Three alleged members of Russia’s intelligence service have been indicted in US federal court for hacking into the computer systems of the 1,249-MW Wolf Creek nuclear unit as well as efforts to compromise systems of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and a range of nuclear companies. The operatives sought and/or obtained access to computer networks and systems of hundreds of US and international energy companies, federal prosecutors said in the indictment, filed in US District Court in Kansas in August and unsealed March 24.
