Chinese market slow, spot prices tick higher in India

In typhoon-hit China, buyer bids dropped down to $161- 162/t cfr this week but suppliers rejected these levels and AG allocation holders have been looking to place tonnes in alternative markets, or ship tonnage unsold to China in expectation of improved prices for October. Chinese end-users have continued to snap up low-priced inventory tonnes equivalent to $155-160/t cfr.
