GIA North America contract climbs to 11-week high on record high supply

The Platts Gas Indices North America contract rose for the thirdstraight week to an 11-week high $7.07/MMBtu in the week endedDec. 1, up 82 cents from $6.245/MMBtu averaged in the weekended Nov. 23, as supply jumped to a record high.Total US gas supply climbed to a record-high 98 Bcf/d in theweek ended Dec. 1, up from 97.75 Bcf/d in the previous week,according to S&P Global Commodity Insights data that goes backto 2005.
