摘要

Complexes of the types [NiL2X2], L = 3-methyl-isothiazole (3-MIT) and 5-methylisothiazole (5-MIT), X = Cl, Br, [NiL4X2], L = 4-methylisothiazole (4-MIT) and 5-methlisothiazole, X = Cl, Br and [NiL6] (Clo4)2L = 4-methylisothiazole and 5-methylisothiazole have been prepared and characterised on the basis of analytical, electrical conductivity, magnetic moment, electronic and infrared spectral data. Ligand field parameters for all these complexes as well as [Ni(isothiazole)6] (Clo4)2have been evaluated and the position of isothiazoles in the spectrochemical series has been established. All the complexes are bonded through the N-atom.
