? 2022 Elsevier B.V.The tensile flow behavior of nickel base super alloy 720Li is investigated in the temperature range of 25 to 720 °C. At 350 and 450 °C, 720Li alloy exhibits serrated flow and the cause for the same is solute segregation at the dislocation core. From the energy filter transmission electron microscopy (EF-TEM) examination, it is evident that chromium segregation at dislocation core at 350 °C and chromium and cobalt segregation at dislocation core at 450 °C are primarily responsible for serrated flow in 720Li alloy.
