Asphalt production declined in the US Gulf coast and Rocky Mountains during the frst half of the year, shifting the fow of asphalt between US regions. Asphalt production in the Gulf coast fell by 6.1pc or 927,000 bl to 14.3mn bl through the frst half of 2022 com- pared with prior year levels, according to US Energy Informa- tion Administration (EIA) data.
