The increasing demand from NPK industry has tightened supplies of MOP. Stocks at Chinese ports are now around 1.2mn tonnes, down 200,000t from the previous week. Russian pink MOP is variously put at at RMB 2,000-2,060/t ex-warehouse at major ports ($325-335 at current exchange rates), while white MOP is about RMB 100/t more. QHSL maintained its price at RMB 1,790/t delivery for 57% MOP crystal ($291) and RMB 1,960/t delivery for 60% MOP powder ($319). Some small producers raised their first delivery prices slightly.
