The latest news on gas supply to Ukrainian producers is that OPZ has been given permission to use gas from underground storage to operate its plant until the end of October, if it returns the volumes by way of gas imports. The Group DF facilities at Cherkassy and DniproAzot are also understood to be operating using gas from underground storage which was purchased by the group last year. Group DF last week said it had threatened legal action against the Ukrainian government, which had issued an edict at the beginning of October banning nitrogen producers in Ukraine from using gas from underground storage to operate their facilities.
