Dredging works at the commercial quay of Parangua port have increased the wait faced by vessels waiting to dock to 35-40 days. The dredging works, intended to allow vessels of deeper drafts to dock, have suffered delays in recent days but are now set to resume on 17th January. This will shut down the sheds for a further three to four days, presumably with a corresponding increase in the length of time ships wait offshore.
