Alujain Picks LyondellBasell Process For New PP Plant in Saudi Arabia

Yanbu—LyondellBasell said its Spherizone process technology has been selected by Alujain National Industrial Co. for a polypropylene (PP) line to be set up in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia (PCN, 15 May 2023, p 1). The new 500,000-t/y PP plant, the second LyondellBasell PP line on site, will be built adjacent to the existing NatPet (National Petrochemical Industrial Co.) Spheripol process technology line. NatPet is a subsidiary of Alujain. No other details were given.
