An irrigation dam is a link between nature and people together with its irrigation purposes.It is also one of the most important utilizations from nature,especially in terms of on environmental factors.It is obvious that people can damage local environmental conditionsduring the utilization.Restorationof irrigation dams should be ecological for aneconomical and biological sustainable utilization of nature.However,studies on ecological restoration or landscape restoration/ecology of irrigation dams are very limited. In this study,ecological restoration potential was examined as a case example in Yavrudogan damsituatedin southern Turkey for irrigation purposes of agricultural land.This study was conducted based on necessary analysis,inventory and early a landscape restoration plan by landscape ecology.As a result of collected data,a general landscape repair plan report has been re-prepared for the dam.
