The US phosphate market firmed this week as limited supply at Nola and delayed cross-gulf shipments from a major US producer drove prices up for nearby barges.At least one trade concluded as high as$500/st fob Nola,a milestone not seen since November 2012. Tight supply and steady demand ahead of spring applications continues to extend the current uptrend.That said,a slew of late season imports and increased domestic production with turnarounds wrapping up has some concerned about a more severe than usual drop in prices heading into summer.
