Japanese exports were up 17pc, totalling 718,000t for the first six months of this year. China took receipt of 91pc of Japan’s total exports, at 652,000t, up 30pc on last year - according to GTIS data. Exports to Indonesia almost halved, down 64pc at 20,000t. Similarly, exports to both India and South Korea fell by 44pc and 39pc, respectively, down to 18,000t and 9,000t.
