Russia temporarily bans oil-products imports but exports more fuel oil

The ban,which will be effective until Oct.1,will stop imports of diesel,gasoline,gasoil and jet fuel.The Russian government imposed the ban in order to stabilize the country's fuel market as coronavirus-related lockdowns have reduced demand by 40-50%.In addition,the collapse in oil prices has made foreign refined products more competitive while Russian fuels did not undergo a drastic change.
