OCI sees successful results from debottlenecking in Beaumont

OCI Partners' Beaumont, Texas, ammonia and methanol plant has been operating at or above new designed capacity following an over 70-day debottlenecking project and turnaround. The plant restarted in late April with a new capacity of 331,000 t/yr ammonia and 912,500 t/yr methanol, both up by 25pc from the prior levels. Both lines have periodically exceeded the new design capacities.
