A strike that shut down railroad Canadian Pacifc’s (CP) Canadian operations for about 24 hours was settled on 16 February after both sides agreed to submit outstanding issues to binding arbitration. A prolonged strike would likely have hindered potash shipments from Saskatchewan to the US and offshore destinations.
