BOEING HAS been awarded a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract to deliver two additional KC-46A Pegasus tankers to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), bringing the total now on contract for Japan to six aircraft. The deal-worth $398.24m - awarded on November 29 by the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is a firm-fixed-price modification to a previous delivery order contract. Work on the additional two KC-46As will be performed at Boeing's production facility in Everett, Washington, with completion expected on June 30, 2025. The total overall face value of the contract, including the new modification, is $1.305bn.
